Finnish wood lasts
A Finnish, Nordic spruce or pine tree needs almost 100 years to grow as a log tree. It becomes a hardy, strong and beautiful tree in clean and healthy soil during cold, dark winters and warm, nightless summers. When AGSIVO OY started international timber trade over 40 years ago, the trees planted were barely halfway through their growth.

Nordic wood
Finland has a long and cold winter and a warm and short summer. Since summer only lasts about 100 days, it can take 60–120 years for a Finnish tree to grow to its full size. For this reason, the short growth period produces unique properties for the tree.
